The Workshop

Cambridge Ice Arena, E of Cambridge

Rich@TheRink carries out all types of boot and blade adjustments, including positioning, mounting, sharpening, baking (also known as thermoforming), punching and custom fit. We service over 1,000 boots, blades and skates per year. We also organize fitting appointments at Cambridge Ice Arena!


We have specially engineered tools that ensure better than 0.1mm accuracy on all of our work - the only workshop in the country that uses this technology. How do we know? Because we designed and built them!

Visiting Us

Please note that our workshop is based within Cambridge Ice Arena, but we are not always there. If you'd like to talk to us in person for any of the following services, please contact us first so that we can arrange to meet up:

  • General advice and inspection of your skating equipment
  • Heat Moulding
  • Blade Positioning
  • Guided equipment purchases, including figure skates, ice hockey skates and ice hockey kit

A lot of equipment we stock is kept offsite at a warehouse and brought to the ice arena in response to direct enquiries.
